  1. I've eaten that many in a day.

  2. thats got to be true,.

  3. ..........and consider how many worms get devoured every time someone eats fresh berries ! Once, when I was a teenager, I cooked dinner for our neighbors. I hurried to get everything in serving bowls. We were all eating, and my neighbor started to spit his food into his plate....I had poured the gravy into a bowl and had not seen a big fat spider in there ! (He said he could feel it's legs on his tongue......eeeeeewwwwwww !)

  4. When you hear a statement like that, ask yourself "How do they know?" Has anyone in a white coat with a clipboard followed you around all day? No! So if they don't know about you, who DO they know about?  The web is a wonderful thing;  but young minds are conditioned to think that anything on the web is THE TRUTH.

This answer is on the web, and I say that I just saw a candy-striped camel fly by my window with Bin Laden on its back.  Must be true, right?

  5. It's a myth. From the link given below:

"Spiders does a lot of hunting when most people are sleeping. The prey of spiders are insects and in extremely rare cases mammals. Spiders tend to prefer small dark crevices in their natural habitat, and a mouth may seem a dark and safe place for any spider.

People breathe air out of their mouth that are warmer than the outside temperature. This will make most spiders stay away from an open mouth since this may not seem as a very safe place.

The mouth of humans is very sensitive. Amongst others the tongue is very sensitive. If a spider enters your mouth while asleep you will probably push back the spider with your tongue. However, its more probable that the spider wont enter your mouth at all. Also, humans tend to have a natural reflex of pushing away disturbing things away from their head even when they are sleeping."

  6. yep.

read it off of a snapple cap.

    snapple caps are facts.

    so yes, its a fact.

but it doesnt mean EVERYONE does..

  7. Yes. Most of it is however through your food. Be it processed food, food made elsewhere (restaurants) or food made at home. Just like flies get into food bits and pieces of spiders can get into your food too. You'd hardly ever notice since a tiny bit of leg here and there won't taste like much while your having a burger or bowl of cereal.

The fact that you might eat a spider through sleep is much much MUCH rarer. First of all its easier for spiders to get trapped and cooked into food, but in your mouth? Unlikely. Spiders are fast. Though there is still a chance of that happening its slim.

Don't let it get to you. It's not a biggie.

  8. Yeah, somebody told me that before, only it was a day. lol They must've been winding me up. Did you hear about that person who lost their hearing in one ear, and their doctor found that it was actually a spider living in their ear? That was actually true though, which totally freaks me out.

  9. well i think it's 8 a year. you don't notice them because they aren't tarantula sized!!! they are so small you can hardly see them. or else you WOULD notice them

  10. hmm i say no...

but there again you dont no if your asleep depends if you snore or go sleep with your mouth open

it also depends on your house and where you sleep are you in a clean house is you room dust free cobweb free? maybe you should check corners or your room and check b4 you go to sleep also theres a speical spider spray you can get to stop them coming in your house you spray at the conrers of your house :)

  11. yes that  is true you eat 8 spiders while you are a sleep in ur life time

  12. That whole thing is c**p, how would you take a study of that?

First of all you would have to study at least a hundred people, throughout their whole life.

Who the h**l would spend that much money on a worthless thing like that.

  13. Sure.

  14. yeah is totally true wicked huh?

  15. yes, unfortunately, but probably not 8 tho... and not just spiders other incets too :$ gross... i no.they fall into food like cereal and chocolate in factories and before they get out the factories package them.but thats ok id rather not no im eating a bug...or id be gaging, lol, have you also herd that the average person eats some certian amount of soil/dirt in their lifetime, thats cause thats where of our veggies and fruits come from, you should awalys run them under water before you eat them cause the have pestisides, which are chemicals that keep bugs from eating them.

    hope i helped!

    <3 jk

  16. Apparantly so, not big ones though, you can get tiny little spiders the size of ants so you probably wouldnt notice if you did munch one when you were asleep. But who knows...

  17. Yuk +o(

  18. I heard the same thing from several reliable sources, so I'm pretty sure it's true - but I totally agree with you that I would think I'd notice if I ate a spider while I was asleep! It just seems so... gross, doesn't it? =)

  19. Assuming you're over 10, I'd say you've already eaten at least one. Sweet dreams! :)

  20. More if you like them fried as a side order.

  21. I sure as help hope not....I hate the thought of eating a spider or even having one crawling on me while I sleep.  I have heard that myth before, but I think its just a myth...(not true)

  22. very minute ones probably.

  23. It's pretty doubtful.  Just ask yourself how such a number could be arrived at scientifically?

  24. I have heard that before and I think not.

  25. I think in your lifetime.  Which probably means you eat an average of 200 bugs in your lifetime as well.  Ughhhh

You also swallow about a hotel swimming pool of Saliva in a lifetime.

  26. no its u eat avaerage of like 5 spiders each year..gross

  27. No, it is not true, just an urban legend.

  28. 100 % yes i know trust me

  29. I seriously doubt it.

  30. im pretty sure its 8 spiders per year...and mostly during sleep you eat them or foods.

  31. Such erroneous 'facts' prey upon the more gullible of us. This is purely an urban legend.

To paraphrase Ben Franklin, believe half of what you read and less of what you hear. I will add that  this especially applies to 'THOSE EMAILS' that you receive from friends and relatives that have 100 other people cc'ed on them.
