  1. There are a couple of factors involved here. First the gas prices have panicked buyers and these cars are the type in demand currently by car buyers. It is a seller's market for fuel efficient econo boxes. Try buying a Smart for 2, there is a long waiting list.

Secondly, what little profit margin there is in a $12,000 car is not going to given up easily when they know that the next buyer in line is going to take it at full price.

Third the knee jerk reaction of dumping the fuel guzzlers onto the market has depressed the prices for these cars and trucks and a lot of people are willing to lose money on their trade to save at the pump.

  2. My guess is probably not.  The Fit had it's best month ever in June.  To be honest, neither car had much room for negotiating anyway.  the invoice price is only about $1000 less the sticker price.

  3. YOU CAN BARGAIN WITH ANY DEALER PUT YOUR OFFER OUT THERE AND IF THEY DON'T LIKE IT WALK OFF IF THEY HAVEN'T HAD MANY SALES THAT DAY THEY WILL CALL YOU BACK I GOT A GREAT DEAL ON A YARIS 3 MONTHS AGO THAT WAY SALES OR SLOW WITH THE ECONOMY AND GO TO MORE THEN 1 LOT IF YOUR IN DRIVING DISTANCE GOOD LUCK
