Is it try thet your eyesight can get worse if?

Is it true your eyesight can get worse if you where your glasses all the time. I beleive im near sight (I can only see near stuff) Buts its been getting worse. Is it because i wear my glasses nonstop?

No, that isn't true.

Glasses only help you see better when you have them on, they can't make your eyes get worse or better.

All they do is focus the light at the right place and distance on your retina.

That same light is entering your eye anyway, whether you have them on or not.

Your eyes are gonna change when they want to...not because glasses are forcing them to.

Nope.  Your wear your glasses all the time because you need them.  It can't hurt your vision unless your prescription is wrong and it causes strain.  

Fact of the matter is, your vision is changing because as you get older the shape of your eyeball changes (not in a way you can see) but it changes the focal point in your eyes and things appear blurry.  By wearing glasses you alter that focal point and your vision improves.

I'm 44 and have been wearing glasses since grade 7 and need to get the percription changed every couple of years.  As of this year I'm now in bifocals.  It's just part of aging, regardless of your age.

These incorrect vision habits squeeze our eyes out of shape and give us blurry vision. Our incorrect vision habits tend to increase during times of stress with the encouragement of artificial corrections.

People who want to keep their vision from getting worse need to become aware of the incorrect vision habits and unlearn them, reintegrate the correct vision habits, and undo the damage of artificial corrections and blurr.

I have been wearing glasses since 5th grade. My eyesight continues to get worse. I don't know why. I am just saying that I have the same problem
