  1. Im 15 now, and i'm not willing to give up the meat nor at least trying out vegetarianism.

Formally I was living with my parents in a government quarters. When my father retired, we shifted to a neighborhood which my neighbor is vegan. Their 5y/o & 9y/o children are also vegans since born. My parents often told me that vegans would not live more than 30 months. They also told that Jesus ate animals. (Joke a side; this is what I learned before). But now I could see thru my own eyes my vegan neighbor is living much healthier than me.

To me it's hard to condition ourselves to different diet at this age, obviously I fear vegetarianism is miserable. It attacks one of life’s greatest and surest pleasures - enjoying good food. For those vegetarian parents, and kids those are born to be vegetarians are much much grateful (though i don't belief in reincarnation).

  2. Well, there are many people who have been vegan from birth and lived their life vegan, and had perfect health.

If you are eating propperly, and have all the nutrients that you need at this stage in your life, how could it be unhealthy?

  3. your fine

ive been a vegetarian for 3 years and im 13

as long as ur getting all ur nutrients

  4. Your fine if you watch what your eating

    (I'm a 14 year old vegan too)

    : )

  5. At your age you're still developing, so if you're going to be a vegan you need to make sure you get plenty of protein. That's the only issue I can see with it. Good luck

  6. Of course it isn't. You can be a vegan at any age, 1month-120years old. You just have to make sure you eat correctly and get your nutrients. You saying you have been a vegan for a year but ask if it is healthy or not, worries me that you do not know what veganism is. I suggest you go to http://vegan.org and http://vegan.com to read up on it and make sure you get your nutrients.

Unhealthy is considered to be not taking care of yourself or getting the correct nutrients and not being a vegan!

  7. Any balanced diet is healthy. But a Vegan diet can be quite challenging to get right. Just make sure you're getting enough of everything you need, especially Iron, Calcium and Protein which more traditionally come from animal products. If your diet is properly balanced you should be fine.

  8. well...no. not if you make sure you get enough to eat and eat the right things. make sure you get enough protein, calcium, iron, and other essential vitamins.

  9. Make sure you get magnesium, B 12, and Calcium. You're all set! I applaud your strength and determination.

  10. I don't see where there is really anything unhealthy about it, just be sure and take a good multi vitamin every day to make sure that your growing body is getting all the nutrients it needs.

  11. It's never unhealthy to be a vegan.  What's unhealthy is artery-clogging fatty bloody meat!  Ew!

  12. if you have been fine till now i dont see why not

  13. if you are under the care of a competent dietician and/or have done the research to create a suitable diet it should be fine... if you are making it up as you go along there WILL be problems that will haunt you for the rest of your life.

  14. That depends on what you eat of which you did not really give a sample. A vegan diet itself is not unhealthy.  But an unbalanced vegan diet is. Just make sure you get all the nutrients your body needs in the proper amounts and you should be fine.

    No diet is automatically healthy.

  15. Vegan is never unhealthy. Do not listen to anyone who tries to tell you otherwise. You are less likely to have heart disease, be obese, get diabetes and such as a vegan. As long as you eat right and get the proper nutrients it's good for you. If you eat poorly then it can be unhealthy.
