Is it unhealthy to store bananas inside a bedroom?

i heard that banana peels give off ethylene gas when ripening. would it be unhealthy if i slept in my bedroom with bananas around with the door and window closed?

Risk is extremely small.  Very little ethylene is released to the air, either from natural ripening or from ethylene treatment.  You might consider some measurements if you're considering sleeping with hundreds of bananas.  Or just leave a window open a little, which is a good idea anyway.
