Is it unreasonable for a junior in high school to have a summer 10 p.m. "bed time"?

I don't think its crazy or unreasonable to have a set time when u go to bed. I had to be in bed by ten when i went through high school...i could stay up and watch tv or whatev but i had to be in bed

If you are having an issue with this then i suggest talking to your parents about it. Perhaps to let go of it while you are on Vacay for the summer at least or possibly extending it till 11 or 12 on the weekends

lol i'm 17 and i'm a sophomore in college. we're basically the same age, right? ..and i sleep whenever i want. sometimes i don't sleep at all when i go to school. then when i get home that's when i sleep.

in the summer i don't have a bed time, i just go to bed whenever i want, and wake up whenever i want. actually i don't have a bed time during the school year either, as long as i'm up when my friend comes to pick me up i'm fine.

Dude, that is totally ridiculous. I didnt have bed times after i was 10 years old during the school year!!! i never went to bed before 4a.m. in the summmer during middle and high school. tell your parents to loosen the grip a little, thats crazy

So, you're a junior and you have a 10 pm bedtime, in the summer? That is by far unreasonable. It's summer! You should be sleeping in sometimes anyway.

Depends on how responsible you are.  If you will sleep all day (aka past noon) or if you stay up past 3 am and make noise then nope I don't think it is unreasonable.

That being said, when I was a junior in high school I had no bed time even on school nights.  That is because I did like staying up late, but I would still go to bed a decent time and I woke up without help from people.

yeah...im only thirteen and i go to bed whenever i want even during school...as long as i keep my grades up and wake up on time my parents dont care...

Yes, actually it is unreasonable for a junior in high school to have a summer to p.m. bed time. That should at least be your curfew time instead. Your old enough to make your own decisions now that your in high school especially for a junior your one year away from being a senior and another from going to college... So you should make your own decisions by now & especially in the summer... I always thought that summer days you sleep at like 3 in the morning and wake up around 5-ish.

we have 3 kids one is a junior in hs and the others are 7th and 6th grade and they all have to be in bed between 9-10 pm at night the reason being for us is we both have to work and if the kids are up making noise - watching tv ect. we can't get our sleep in for work.  They get up at about 8:30 am - we sometimes we let them stay up later - yes you can read but you must go to your room -it keeps the fighting - rough housing and arguing to a min. it also teaches them to respect others peoples needs.
