Aside from the fact that he is unelected and useless, why do the Scots dictate what happens here, and we have no say in what they do?

  1. No it is definitely NOT because the Scots now have their own Parliament

  2. What are you afraid of?

The PM has no power to unilaterally make law - he requires the consent of Parliament to do that.

So Brown is one person out of 300-odd MP's when it comes to voting.

Besides, the uk is supposed to be 4 countries working together for the common weal - not Britain and 4 slave-states.

There's absolutely no reason why citizens of the other parts of the UK should not run the show.

  3. Scottish MPs should not vote on English only matters,

Just like English MPs cannot vote on Scottish only matters,

The UK is not a Country but a Union of,

    England,

    Scotland,

    Wales,

    and Northern Ireland,

The UK is not very United is it?

  4. Basically the people of England do not like having our tax money syphoned off to benefit Scotland, the NHS is better there as are welfare benefits, all at the expense of the English. Never has that situation been the other way round, Scotland and Wales have always sapped England but still had the audacity to complain about government being in London. There is officially no such thing as an Englishman, it has no parliament of its own and we were not an ethnicity at the last census, Scottish, Welsh and Irish were.

  5. The Scots run England?

Sorry, the UK is a democracy - one man, one vote.

Gordon Brown is the man, and he has the vote.

  6. I have no problem with Gordon Brown being Scottish, I don't think that it really matters where the PM comes from as long as he/she does a good job and does what is right for the people, after all it is the UK.

What I don't like though is the fact the Scottish MP's can vote on issues which only concern England, whereas an English MP has no say what so ever over Scottish issues.  And you can't blame the Scott's for that either.   Because if you take out all the Scottish MP's Labour would be left with nothing, and no MP's to vote and pass the new laws which they create.

  7. Now the shoe is on the other boot, you dont like it do you? This was why scotland wanted independance, because we didn't like being ruled by someone from another country. I agree with you, when we got our own government, all scottish MP's should have left Westminster. Gordon is useless, im from his consituency and he has never done anything for us. Stupid, fat, useless, unelected, Gordon

  8. How many English PM's has Scotland had to endure??  Remember the poll tax?   Get over it !

  9. I agree with the questioner! Gordon Brown has a lot to answer for!You cannot blame him for just being Scottish!Although independence for Scotland come quickly  enough for me It is the fact that he is just pathetic and hopeless when it comes to being a front line player in major politics!
