Is it unusual for a guy 50 to have no real male friends? Just female friends/ s*x partners? He’s been married & divorced twice, kids are grown up. He lives in a city far from where he grew up & has a few friends scattered around the country. Is this weird?

  1. Everyone is different.  While this may seem obscure for some, it may be perfectly comfortable, and preferred, by others.  He has friends.   They may all be female and he may be sleeping with some, but at least he is interacting with them.  I'm a female in my late 20's.  I have NO female friends.  I can't stand females and only prefer my male friends.  I have a boyfriend and no mental problems.  I'm social, I get out.  Everyone is different, including him.

  2. It's hard to make friends when you are a social 20 year old! I'm 22 and have 1 true female friend. I have acquaintances that i see on a regular basis and i have several male friends, including my boyfriend. I don't think it's that rare at all.

It could also be a trust thing with him. Also, what would be the point for him to have male friends. It seems like he enjoys the company of females  more, so why would he go out of his way to do something that he doesn't really want to do.

  3. no as u get older u may relate to females only

  4. Not really.  I'm 28 and I don't have any friends at all, just a boyfriend.  I think it's difficult to make friends when you move away from the place you grew up in.  He may like being a loner and there's nothing wrong or weird about that.
