  1. Yes they should develop normally when you scoop the shuttle up from the floor with the racket. All mishits can scuff the racket.

  2. You meant you've been using the raquet for a few weeks, right?

I don't personally use badminton raquets, but I do know about tennis raquets and I think it is the same. Its perfectly normal for the raquets to get minor scratches. These usually happen when the raquet hits the floor/court while you're getting a low ball/birdie. My tennis raquet's top part is really scratched up as I have used it for over a year. It is still a good raquet and very useful. As long as the overall frame is in good condition and the strings are good it should not affect your game at all.

    Hope this helps,

  3. of course!!!

  4. Yup, because you're using it.....

  5. Any time you use anything, it's going to get scratched.  Especially when you are swinging it around at small flying objects as hard as you can.

Sure, the first scratch on a new racquet is a little disheartening, but it's how things work.  If you don't scratch it up with extensive use, you probably aren't playing hard enough.

  6. In a game like Tennis, scratches on the frame are common. That's why the racquet comes with a bumper. However, scratches on badminton racquets don't sound right since I don't think you'd be hitting a lot of shots off the ground there and I don't think a shuttle will cause scratches even if u frame the shuttle several times.
