Is it usual in the dance classes for they be unaware if you have or have not a partner

to exercise with all those steps they are teaching you?

It is a big defference in all those steps when you're doing them with someone.

You can learn them more or less quickly depending also by the teacher - and they are very good - but then you just stay and watch to those walls . . .

It's a stupide management!

I asked them if they have a discount for a possible retired person or a student one, as men don't come much to such classes. But they were very short in answering: NO!

I told them that it's not right to pay full three taxes and I (& my kids) do not have the possibility to exercise . . . such I'll not come back the next month.

Is it right?

  1. That's a lot of words for little information. In ballroom classes, it's normal for there to be more ladies than men, and that's generally solved by having them rotate. The practice of rotation also has the advantage of having the students dance with a variety of partners, so personal communication habits are minimized and general technique in lead and follow is stressed.

If that's the sort of situation you thought you'd be in, and it isn't happening, then it's time to find another studio.

  2. It is quite normal for group dance class teachers/managers to not know what will be the gender ratio. They can tell you what they usually get, but they can't predict who is going to show up for every particular class.

Usually, you are asked to change partners throughout the class (aka "rotate partners') so that in case of gender imbalance everyone gets a chance to dance with a partner.

I don't see why you expect the studio to give you discounts. I mean it's nice if they do, but if they don't - they don't.
