Is it very humid and sticky in Costa Rica now?

Question

We are going to tomorrow for a week to Costa Rica. Arenal, Guanacaste and Manuel Antonia areas...

How is the weather in general?

Hot, humid and sticky and bug-infested??? Or is it pleasant?

What do people wear during the day?

What do people wear when they do the zip-lining in rainforest?

Any comments and advise highly appreciated! Thanks

Ok Costa Rica is not sticky now, its the rainy season it gets sticky. But the south of costa rica mainly Puntarenas and the carribean side there is more rain or they get rain so therefore its more huid yuk. I leaved and worked there and it was gross. I love Guanacaste hot and dry. In General the weather is the best or one of the best thing the country has...nice cool breeze blowing on my face now.

Bug infested , more mosquitos, especially if you are fresh blood, so spray down and eat garlic

In the city people mainly wear jeans and shirt, and on the beach flip flops, shorts or skirts and a cotton or sleeveless shirt. very relax, chill and casual.

Zip Lining you need shoes, tennis, jeans, but my gf went in tiny shorts. and they give you the gear helmet, and ropes etc

Youll love Costa Rica but you should come now and not the rainy season you wont the best experience!

It seems to be more humid than the states, but i like it.

1-The weather in general is really nice, though April is the start of the rainy season, and in the rainy season normally the sun is nice in the morning until like 2 pm, then it get's all cloudy and it starts to rain eventually; sometimes it's everyday, toher time  it's eery other day and u can never guess what the wheather is going to b (well, last year we could all b weather reporters, we all knew the next day was going to b the same. But rain also depends on where u go.



2-normally humid and sticky at the coast, but most of the time hot in Guanacaste. Definetley not bug-infested depending on where u go, for xample: if u go to the mountains the is more chance of finding mosquitos frequently and in May the abejones (kinda like beetles) come. Costa Rica has a multi-weather across the country.



3-During the day we normally wear summer clothes  and sometimes a sweter in the central valley. People in the coast (Guanacaste, Puntarenas = Manuel Antonio) definetley do wear summer refreshing clothes. People in the mountains (Arenal) wear clothes for cold days normally, sometimes  summer clothes but that's not very frequent, but it's best to b prepared.

4-when we do zip lining it's best to take jeans, a t-shirt, tennis shoes, socks, and best to take a cap, in case it rains.
