  1. Depends what tedious is for you. For me, it's fine. It'll take you about 30-45 minutes driving in, or a tiny bit little longer on the bus. (use the link the girl above gave)

    The service numbers are, 613-617, 620, 642, 650, 652, 654.

614 should be the right one for you, it goes through Baulkham Hills.

The bus is generally good though, not much fuss, and it stops at a fair few places, so it shouldnt' be that hard to find a bus stop near you.

& don't listen to the nob with the first answer.

  2. For public transport, there are buses that go to the city from Baulkham Hills.  I'm not sure how quick it is, though.  I think, depending on where in Baulkham Hills you come from, it's just one bus.  Go to www.hillsbus.com.au for more information.

  3. yes haven't you heard about all the transport problems in the north west. you have to pay a million bucks in tolls if you want to drive or take the bus with the dedicated bus lanes that have been set up.

go throught it just once in peak hour and you'll see how everyone feels. to tell you the truth, everywhere to go in sydney is tedious!

  4. no, just catch an M2 bus!
