Question:

Is it very very possible to get away with bringing back alcohol from Europe?

I'm 17, and I'm going to Bavaria in like a month. I want to know if there's a way i can bring back alcohol with out getting caught. Is there anybody who has done this before and if there is can they please tell me how, please!!

  1. When you fly back into the states you have to go through the Homeland Security check. They will ask you, scan your bags, and in some cases open all the bags to check them. They will especially open them if they see something suspicious through the scan. Maybe there is some way to get it back into the states, but do you really want to risk it?


  2. Just put it in your bag. Shouldn't be a big deal.

  3. I'm not sure if there is an easy way to get alcohol back. I know with the new security steps in the United States it will be even harder. But i have heard of people using mouth wash bottles and pouring the alcohol into them and getting away with that.

  4. It probably won't  be a problem as long as it's in your checked baggage and you only have a couple of bottles.  It isn't required to be declared when you enter the country if you don't have more than 2 liters.  My exchange students often bring me bottles of wine or liquor as a gift when they arrive.  Don't try to bring it in your carry on.  You can also ship it via UPS or Fedex (kind of spendy but other than the potential for breakage will be no problem)
