  1. I was on the Costa del Sol in November once.  It was gray and stormy.  My friends told me that was normal.  I would assume that lasts through about February, when things begin to warm up again.  I´m guessing Canarias, much closer to the equator, would be the only place likely to be truly WARM in January.

  2. Depends where you mean specifically. If you are speaking of the Costas then for a tourist coming for a few weeks from say the UK then it will be warm enough for you, however those of us that have lived here years find it cold. I've seen Brits in shorts and t shirts whilst I have my coat on.

Bring a light jacket or jumper for evenings as the temperature drops a bit.

  3. I live in Ibiza, a mediterranean island and here it's soooooo cold in December/January. it doesn't matter if you are in the south of Spain,  it's cold everywhere in winter. The only warm place in December/January is the Canarian Islands.

    Sorry for my English!!

    Greetings from Spain!!

  4. It also depens where are you from and what you consider cold... last week at the news there was this Sweedish soccer team players from Elfsborg at the beach on their swim suits!!! they looked like having a great time... at home we got pretty shocked, LOL

But if you are not Scandinavian and used to be very cold, you'll find it chilly... about 15 degrees at the coast (Mediterranean Coast)

If you really want warm weather, you should go to Canary Islands as you were told by the other members.

At the North or inside it'll be pretty cold.

Enjoy your NYE's in Spain and you know... in here we party all night long!!!!

  5. It depends where in Spain. In the north and center of the country it's freezing. In the south you may find warm weather. The warmer place, the Canary Islands.

  6. On the costa del sol southern Spain yes, some times it can be warm enough for swimming in the sea.!!
