It depends on a lot of things; such as your geographic location, proximity to large bodies of water, vegetation, etc. There really is no absolute rule.

Spring is usually said to end on the day of the summer solstice.That is June 21st for the northern hemisphere and on December 21st on the south hemisphere.  

Autum, on the other hand is said to begin on the day of the autum equinox. That is 21st of september (northern hemisphere) and march 21st (southern hemisphere).

That means that spring ends on the longest day of the year, while autum starts on a date where day and night don't have such a different duration.

The the days around the end of spring are longer than the days around the begining of autumn. This can sometimes mean that the former are warmer than the later.
