  1. yea its a little weird don't ask the teachers to call you that Erica's a very pretty name if enough students call you cookie tho eventually they will catch on and call you that as well

  2. If I were your teacher, I would not call you cookie.  I would call you Erica, especially if that were how it was in my gradebook.

  3. It kind of sounds like a pick up like...especially the name cookie.

It's sort of weird... no offence

  4. Not all teachers are comfortable using student nicknames in the classroom, especially ones that aren't exactly conventional (Bobby for Robert, Eddie for Edward, Chris for Christopher, etc.).  Don't count on your teachers to do it...especially male teachers as it may be construed as a term of endearment.

  5. ummm...well yeah..it's weird..

  6. I would not call one of my students cookie if their real name was Erica.  That sounds like a term of endearment reserved for family or friend relationships.  It's unprofessional.  I believe that it has the potential to make everyone involved uncomfortable. Yes, even you.  It may sound like a fun idea now but when a teacher, whom you barely know, has to call you Cookie...well, it may be more akward than you first thought - and yes, for you too.  Plus, you may get tired of the name.

  7. It's inappropriate. Teachers could probably get into some hairy situations with that one... It's too much of a term of endearment. Can you imagine an employer calling someone Cookie?

  8. Hi Cookie! :D
