Is it weird for a 14 year old girl to be interested in Politics?

Every morning I read a newspaper, Time, or Newsweek magazines. Isn't that a little unusual in your opinion? I'm asking this because I don't know anyone who reads the mentioned published works, but I know someone who reads the Obituary section...

unusual yes, because its not usual for others your age, but its very appropriate.just make sure you don't believe everything you read, media loves to overhype lots of stuff.

I think it is wonderful that you have an interest.

We as the baby boomers, managed to really mess up this world.

Not the laymen, but the powers that be.

And they did that because most of us knew nothing about politics and the real issues at hand.

So honey, don't you ever let anyone tell you, it is wrong for you to have an interest in anything.

The more knowledge we have, the better we can address the problems at hand.

i think it's great, do you realize you'll be able to vote in the election after this one? you should be not only interested , but you should listen to the candidates now because the issues of today probaby will be the same issues in 4 years when you will have a say. good going, my daughter is 14 and could care less.

No you are a diamond in the ruff.  It's nice to see a teen that wants to education themselves on world events.  You seem to have found what you love at such a young age.  By the time you get to college, you will be well informed making it easy for you to pursue a career in something have a passion for whether it be politics, law or media.  May the friend that likes the Obituary section should choose a career as a Funeral Director or Forensics. lol
