Is it weird if your dog poops and then sometimes picks it up in her mouth?

sometimes, she poops in the backyard and if she is out there for a while, she might go back to it and pick it up in her mouth and then drop it and go for it again.

It sounds to me like your dog is trying to entertain herself.  Maybe you need to spend more time with her, or offer toys for her to entertain herself with, like food puzzles from Kong? While it seems weird that she is playing with fecal material, at least she's not eating it!  But I would certainly start picking up the fecal matter after she goes,and disposing of it, so she doesn't start eating it.  Not much fun, and not always easy to correct the behavior once it starts.

hmm well I'm just going to come out and ask this: did you get the dog from amish? we have alot of dogs and we breed alot also and something we have found out about "amish dogs" is that they tend to do this alot more then any other dogs so its not weird if its a amish dog or if you got the dog from a pet shop because as we all know those dogs come from puppy mills (NO I'm not a PETA freak!) so if you got it from amish or a pet shop its not weird but other then that yeah it is kind of weird and I dont know of any way to stop the dog from doing this
