  1. it's normal , if it helps i know someone who is a bit older than you and is afraid of the dark! it's ok, you will eventually get over it! good luck! =]

  2. its fine, you just have a phobia

  3. The fear of the dark is a common fear among children and to a varying degree is observed for adults. The pathological fear of the dark is sometimes called nyctophobia  scotophobia,  "darkness",  lygophobia,  - "twilight".

The fear of the dark is heightened by imagination: a stuffed toy may appear a monster in the dark. Nightmares contribute to the fear of the dark as well: after waking up because of nightmare the child may refuse to go to bed without lights on. Fear of dark is a phase of child development. Most observers report that fear of the dark seldom appears before the age of 2 years. Fear of the dark is not fear of the absence of light, but fear of possible or imagined dangers concealed by the darkness.

Some researchers consider the fear of the dark as a manifestation of separation anxiety.

  4. im not as scared of the dark as u but i still dont like being in dark houses by myself. ur normal

  5. nope..everyone has a phobia...you shouldnt think ur weird or anything...i know some ppl that are afraid of the dark...im scared insects and bugs like butterflies and ppl would think like wtf everybody loves them?? but i dont care cuz everyone is different and has something their afraid of

  6. No, I'm like that too. Hate the dark and picture all sorts of creepy stuff. I even hate closing my eyes in the shower because I don't know whats behind the curtain. Stupid, huh?

But maybe if you wake up in the middle of the night just fall asleep with a light on. NO biggie, I do it too.

  7. No.  You don't need to see someone about this.  We all have our little quirks -- yours is that you're afraid of the dark.  You're lucky.  At least with your quirk, you have an easy solution.  Leave a light or nightlight on.  Who cares, right?  No biggie.  Me, I'm terrified of bad thunder and lightening and when they happen, I keep thinking my house will get struck with lightening or I listen to see if a tornado is coming.  So, being afraid of the dark is no big deal.  At least you can remedy that.

But -- you should find out why you regularly wake up with night sweats.  That's not something that should be happening to you.  That could be a symptom of certain illnesses and I think that's something you might want to mention to your doctor when you go for your next physical.

According to the Mayo Clinic,Night sweats are usually defined as episodes of significant nighttime sweating that soaks your bed clothes or bedding. This is a fairly common problem that many people experience from time to time.

Although uncomfortable, nighttime sweating typically isn't a sign of a serious underlying medical condition. It may be triggered by something as simple as too warm a room or too many blankets on the bed. Potential medical causes of night sweats include:

    Menopause

    Anxiety

Medications such as certain high blood pressure drugs, over-the-counter fever reducers and antipsychotics

    Drug or alcohol abuse

    Gastrointestinal reflux disease (GERD)

    Diabetes

See your doctor if night sweats occur on a regular basis and interrupt your sleep. Treatment is directed at the underlying cause, if it can be determined. Occasionally, night sweats are a symptom of a serious condition, such as cancer or infection. But in such cases, night sweats are often accompanied by other signs and symptoms, such as fever and unexplained weight loss.

  8. Its normal just a phobia.  I am afraid of spiders ur afraid of the dark everyones different.  Maby sleep with a nightlight or keep your door open or something.  Hope this helped.  Good luck.  xoxo

  9. Its a fear...

the only way to fix it is to begin to conquer your fears...

Other than that no its not abnormal...

    hope this helps
