Question:

Is it weird that...?

It makes me really sad when I think I'm just a little itty bitty organism on a itty bitty planet, in a huge gigantic universe? It really upsets me.

:-( I feel like I don't matter! I feel like celebrities don't matter, all the relationships we have, like nothing matters because we are so small and then we die. Live and die just like every cat ever born, every bee ever born, every plant or tree...just as insignificant. It sucks.

  1. It's not weird it makes me sad too, just avoid those thoughts and know that you matter to the people in your life right here right now, even if ultimately your existence may not matter in the end.

  2. I totally agree with you on this one, it really sucks.  People live every day worrying about these irrelevant day to day issues and not thinking that everything can change in a heartbeat.  Once we die its like all the problems we have can't be resolved so you just wasted half your life worrying and fighting.  All the money you have saved won't do anything for you because no money in the world can bring you back to life. People waste their lives to become rich, famous, successful but do we every truly enjoy life and all the beauty that we have around us?  There is no reason to be upset about the fact that compared to the universe we are practically nothing.  Analyzing this can help you appreciate your life a little more and basically  help you live everyday to the fullest.

  3. ...not weird at all, sad you feel that way, but if you change your attitude and enjoy all that LIFE IS in the moment...you won't have time to be depressed...DO IT...good luck...

  4. No it isnt and I'm glad you realize the vast expanse of the universe. But though the universe is big you can be significant to the future of humanity by positively advancing it by your contribution.

  5. Yeah. It is suppper weird. You're a freaakk.

I'm kidding. But I thought about that a while ago. And than I kind of decided that, we look for a purpose in life.. I think, isn't life about just having a good time .. ? And living a good life. I mean, you want to live in the moment, but at the same time not TOO in the moment, you want to be happy in the future too, you know? The future, as in your elder years. You don't want to suffer, or be in pain, etc etc. Or the future as in, the end of the week, you want to be able to pay your bills, you know? I mean it might be a hassle/pain to work, aka not the funnest thing in the world, but at the same time, what do you feel would make you most happy? Being able to put food on the table and a roof above your head? I think so. Basically I came to the conclusion life doesn't really have that cliche idea of a purpose that you might think. There is nothing maybe that you specifically are DESTINED to do, and than you go to this amazing place after you die, and get kudo points for doing it. No, not that. But in a sense, there is a purpose for ourselves. I mean, we all just want to be happy. That is the purpose for ourselves. For the span of our lives, and to do that we gotta help each other but also know a good amount of things, and make things good for us. So basically, in knowing that you might die tomorrow, and everything lives and is just born and dies, including celebrities and animals and every little d**n thing, we basically have to make the best of the time that we have.

Thats just my personal opinion though. I'm not religious though. I don't believe in afterlife. But again, its not as depressing as it sounds. To me personally, if everything is so insignificant, and everything just lives and  dies, well since Ive got a pretty good life, I might as well have some fun. Right? And help other people do the same ?

    Thats my philosophy. Blah.

  6. That is why you should enjoy every day as if it was your last day on earth. We are only promised this now moment nothing more.

  7. i like you, i like way you think

  8. WTF? You must be the only person on Earth that feels that way...I mean wtf???

Not really. Everyone feels that way. Or at least they should. Think if everyone thought they were the most signifigant thing on earth, people would be a bunch of aragant b******s. It's that Insignifigance that makes us, mankind, so signifigant. If there was just one or two of us on this planet, well then sure everyone would be signifigant, but there are 6 BILLION!!!! WOW. And think how much responsibility it would be to be ubber signifigant...YUCK!  Don't let the Universe bum you out. Turn off your mind, relax, and float down stream!

  9. Through the course of your life you placed significance and importance on forms, feelings, perceptions, fabrications, consciousness. This in turn places energy, striving, attention, feelings on what is not truly you.  Feeling energetic, emotional, passionate gave you a high.  Seeing the larger scope of things causes the cessation and the sadness. But remember before you placed importance on the world around us. Remember when everything was play and serene. Your mind didn't drift to these thoughts. Let go and feel that again. The sadness will end. Eventually only you will remain.

will answer many of your questions about why you feel the way you do and how to rise above and rekindle that which was once inside you.

  10. I think, for one, your assumption here is that what is small is irrelevant. But, take for instance the cell (which is very small) but makes up the vastness of life. How about molecules? So small you can't even see them but are the not the very structure of all sensible things in the vast universe? Anything that can be sensed in the universe containing matter has molecules. They're part of the foundation of reality. Very few things could be more important for existence than something needed for reality. Secondly, even though it may not be too important I sure wish you would define that word "weird". I hear this word a lot and I have no idea what it means! It's very vague. Now, maybe you don't know what it means either. I think, then, it would be pretty hard to make any sense out of your own question. Think about it, though.

  11. hmmm..perhaps you should direct this same question to the cat or bee's mother?  (whom you just used as an example) Each and every thing that compiles our world and universe,,is indeed important.  Remember this,  =)
