Not at all dude! Aquarium snails rock! They eat all the extra algae and even the uneaten food which remains on the bottom which leads to bacterial growth and causes the water to become cloudy and foul smelling.They even eat the dead fish which also cause bacterial growth.They look cool and grow to about 4".They are a good and classic addition to a freshwater tank and look cool!!But avoid them if you have any loaches as they would eat the snails....
