My daughter's pediatrician said to give her twice a day. We have been giving her for breakfst and dinner. I wanted to switch it to breakfast and lunch mainly because my grandma watches her and she feeds her Gerber and refuses to use the baby food i make. So my daughter gets mostly applesauce and bananas for breakfast and lunch. (she normally gets fruit and cereal for breakfast and the rest of the container of that fruit and a veggie for lunch) but its alwasy the same fruits. I wanted to try fruit and cereal for breakfast and a veggie and cereal for lunch so she's not eating hte sam fruit most of the day and she gets some variety. most things i see, people are giving their baby rice cereal at breakfast and dinner and not at 2 consecutive meals

  1. i think it depends on the baby. babies have a way of showing you if they want to eat something like that at certain times of the day. watch how your baby reacts to the change then go from there.

  2. please do not stress over any of this.....the baby is getting fed reasonably good food by you and your grandma.  move the type of food around so the baby can sleep well at night, but don't spend another minute worrying about whatever is fed.  thank your lucky stars the baby is getting fed and cared for.  the baby doesn't have well developed taste buds yet, so you can feed it bananas every meal and it will only eat what it wants.  wait till it starts to eat bugs, grass and dirt.

  3. Whatever is easiest for you and your baby. I give my baby solids now, but I mix the cereal with it. Makes it easier and cuts the time too. Don't over think it you will drive yourself nuts with mundane details. Your baby doesn't care as long as it likes what she eats, is full and is happy. Try not to fret, have fun!

  4. most people give it at dinner because it helps them sleep through the night.  Babies often wake and cry in the middle of the night because their tummy is rumbling.  Do whatever works for you, every parent does things differently because every kid is different.  It's not weird at all.  Feeding her dog biscuits might be weird but a feeding schedule that works for both you and your baby is definitely not.
