  1. we've met loads of people that go on cruises singly, and they've loved it. not only that a lot of cruise company's do cater for the single cruisers...check out this link and have a look through all the information you need will be here....enjoy.

  2. Cruise is wonderful! I went on one in the carribbean for my 21st birthday and had a ball, i spent alot of time away from the family with all my new friends too! Everyone is so sociable and nice.  You usually have a set dinner time and table so you get to know your table mates too. :)

  3. I think you'd still have fun and definitely relax, but it would be safer (IMHO) and more exciting to share it with a laidback friend.  Someone that would give you some space to relax, but still hang out with if you get homesick or whatever.

My husband and I had a great time on our cruise because I like to do stuff and he likes to sit around on vacation.  He sat in our room a lot and I did activities and walked around.  It was perfect for us.

  4. Not in the least - in fact a lot of folk on their own prefer the cruise type holiday and are made really welcome and looked after.  It won't be a matter of getting away from folk but it will be with new people and you should find them all friendly.  I don't think it possible to just get a cruise to a Caribbean island and then leave the ship to work on the island -you would probably have to fly out if that is what you decide as the cruises I know of are on a return to UK basis.  Can highly recommend the cruise idea though.

  5. I have been on eight cruises, three of which were by myself (meaning I did not know anyone on the ship before I got on the ship).  On my last cruise (last weekend - I just got back today) there were two other singles at the dinner table with me.  On my prior single cruise I was also sharing the table with a single traveler.

It is a good chance for me to do things that I am interested in, but that other family and friends are not interested in.  My next cruise is also as a single.

  6. My girlfriend did this before we were together.  She enjoyed herself.

  7. I think you would still have a great time. I met SO many people on my last cruise. You will meet a lot of people, and enjoy yourself.

  8. NO BUT I BET IT WOULD BE EXCITING;)

  9. If you prefer to be on your own there is nothing weird about it. Just make sure you will not miss someone special or this someone special will not feel lonely without you.

I have never done it before, I mean I travel a lot but this is different, not for pleasure rather business like.

Hey hope you will enjoy it anyway.

  10. Well some singles cruises are set up specifically for that, while others there are people who just go solo.  My only tips would be to stay safe and aware of your surroundings at all times!

  11. no, i would if i wasn't with my wife and had the money

  12. No not at all... A TON of people cruise by themselves, its WAAAAY safer than being at a resort by yourself, but I would really look into a singles cruise. At least that way there a group of other people in your situation-the group is there if you want to do activities with them or by all means you dont have to.... That way you arent sitting with couples and kiddos at dinner and such.  Check these two companies out to see if they jive with your scheduling:

    www.vacationstogo.com/singles

    www.singlescruise.com

both Great companies to go with, as I used to work for one!

    GOOD LUCK and happy cruising!

  13. Not at all. It's the only way to travel. Don't worry about being by yourself - you can meet other independent-minded people like yourself as and when you want, or chill on your own. Having it all organised by someone else (eg the cruise idea) takes all the hassle out of it.

  14. It's not weird to travel by yourself, but if you want to get away from people a cruise isn't a good idea. You're packed together like sardines. lol x
