Is it weird to not have this extravagant sweet 16 party?

My friends( the girls anyway) keep asking me why I didn't have this over the top sweet 16 party because it's supposed to be the best birthday of your life....Am I the only one that's like this or what? Please help. Thanx.

i dont think its weird, it all depends on your taste, as long as you feel satisfied with how you spent your birthday it shouldnt matter what other people said.

no i didnt have one and im fine. tell them if they r gonna pay the more for an over the top party then go ahead. but if they arent paying tell them bcuz u didnt want one or couldnt afford one

i dont think its weird.  its your party and you can do whatever you want as long as your having fun.

i dunno, my 16th bday is coming up, and i'd always planned on going on some big party  boat with tons of friends for the evening... bit now as i get older i'm realizing how few privileges u even get out of being 16... so now i'm considering waiting till my 21st bday. that way they'll be no rules ;) i dunno... the whole 16 thing just doesn't sound all that exciting now that it's getting near... i get the idea my party isn't gunna be all that huge after all. lol
