Is it weird to see a short tuba player?

I'm a 5' 115 lb. tuba player, and this woman taking our pictures today laughed when I picked it up. People my height can be strong enough to carry it, too...

That didn't help my self confidence much. :/

    It's weird to see a female tuba player that's tall and thin.

    WAY TO GO TUBA!

    I noticed that the stereotypical tuba player is a short, fat, boy.

    (And the guy I played tuba w/ was hot. hehehe)


  2. My best bud is a short tuba player. She pretty awesome at it! I was going to do it too but I decided to stay with tenor sax.
