I still breastfeed my 2.5 year old daughter. My friends think it is weird and tell me to stop. What do you think?

  1. You asked a question, and when you get an answer that you don't like you pratically make it look like murder! Real mature, well here's my opinions. Sure studies "prove" that breastfeeding highers IQs, but the seperation anxiety the toddler will have to go through is hard. Breastfeeding is very natural and caring, but as soon as the baby can walk and talk on it's own I think it won't need breast anymore.

  2. No, it's not weird.

You might like to look up your local chapter of La Leche League.  You'll find folks who are supportive of extended breastfeeding.  Other areas where you'll find supportive folks include the Holistic Moms Network, Attachment Parenting International, and Mothering.com.

You may just need to expand your social circle to include friends who are supportive of your choice to provide your child with the best start possible!

  3. Yeah, that's weird.

  4. Yeah, I think it's weird. They actually did a show on Tyra, all about breast feeding past a certain age.

EDIT: Don't call us idiots when you asked for our opinion. You wanted to know what we thought, and we told you. If you don't care what we think, DON'T ASK! That's idiotic!

  5. my son will be 3 in November and still wants to nurse at bedtime/naptime. He can push my bra up to get what he wants too. When I tell him NO he looks at me with the cutest face and says "little taste...Please" If I still say no he whines and says "need it!!". I am a total softie, so I let him nurse for a few seconds if he really wants it.

  6. I think it's kinda weird no offense
