Is it weird to wear a road helmet on a mountain bike?

no. if you're gonna wear a mtb helmet on a road bike though, please remove the visor..

I guess it depends on who you ride with.    If you ride with me, it doesn't matter.   Although I might give you c**p just for the fun of it.

No, not at all. I know people who do this, and I actually wear a mtn helmet on a road bike. The only difference is that on a road helmet, there is more plastic covering the styrofoam, like on the back of the helmet.
