  1. Well, no, your parent should act as a manager who manages your career, signs papers, takes you to auditions/jobs, and finds your agent.  An agent will get you those industry paying jobs when a parent can help, but is not involved with important unions like SAG/AFTRA.  For now, I wouldn't worry about an agent, but in the future, you may find the work your parents get you may not be professional enough.
