If you mean "get" a wife on the basis on her passport then no, of course not.  Short-term you may gain access to additional countries, (on the condition of course that you can convince immigration officials that it is a genuine marriage & relationship which is not an easy task these days), but long-term if it is a convenience only marriage then one or both of you are going to regret it if & when you meet someone that you truely would like to marry - for the right reasons!

If you mean you want a genuine relationship with a European girl, then even within Europe (in addition of course to different personalities) people are brought up in different cultures, with different norms & values.  When the "honeymoon" period wears off and you are down to the nitty gritty of who is going to take the bin bag out for that evening (example) then it is actually more difficult that a relationship with someone who has been brought up in the same country as yourself (even same area within the country). It takes time, effort, patience .... and a sense of humour

The other challenge is language of course.  In order to really communicate beyond the "hello, how are you", a common language is also important.  Even within the streams of English there are differences - what do you call a courgette?  A courgette or a zuccini? (stupid example but hopefully you get my meaning)

So - wise?  No, not unless he/she is really the light of your life and you both want it more than anything, & both know it is going to be hard work!

There are many girls and women from Eastern European countries who are scammers. They will go to any lengths to seperate guys from their money and possessions. Ther are also some genuine girls who would make very good wives and companions. The skill is in knowing how to sort out the scammers from the genuine ones, sometimes its not so easy. Please be very careful, don't automatically believe or trust the girl!
