Is it wise to go for vista yet?

Question

from a gaming stand point is it wise to go for vista ultimate rather then xp? will i be able to play all my existing games on it. will steam work on it?

i have a powerfull system:- Quad2 Extreme CPU

                                      - 4Gb DDR3 Memory

                                      - 2X 640Mb GeFo.8800 GTS Video

                                      -blah blah...

I tryed Vista Ultimate and it works fine, looks good.

But still useing XP Pro.

Your older games and programs (before vista) may not work.

New games and prog. are all work on Vista but they required more poverfull system, so your games look better.

Steam will work in Vista.
