Question:

Is it wise to laminate floors at separate times?

I can't afford much right now, and my carpet smells bad (even though I'm clean). I want to get laminate flooring, to solve this problem. Since I can't afford to do too much, is it a bad thing to just get my living room done now, and then get my bedroom done at another time? I mean, I know nothing about this kind of stuff...Don't people get the real wood all at once, in all rooms, not just for price, but also because the grain can change appearance? So then, it must be different for laminate since it's not real, right? Also, am I losing out on a lot of money by getting the rooms done separately?

  1. They discontinue colors and patterns all the time.  You may get the same floor later you may not, and it will cost a little more because it's 2 seperate jobs.  Other than that you're fine.

  2. real wood looks better in at all once because the grain changes....but its easier and cheaper cuz of the labor and the materials and you will prolly never find the same flooring again....so in other words both rooms at same time=cheaper
