Is it worth applying for a full birth certificate if you already have an extract?

Whenever i am asked for my birth certificate, i always just photocopy my extract. I haven't had a problem with it so far, but should i apply for the full birth certificate in case one day the extract might be rejected? will i need the full thing?

yeah, you should probably get the full certificate because some places do not allow photocopies, they want originals like the dmv.
