Is it worth buying the thrill pass for Six Flags Magic Mountain?

Have been told from one of my earlier posts that Saturday the 20th of September will probably be a fairly busy day at the park. Would anyone recommend us buying the flash pass and if so what are the restrictions on it - the SFMM website doesn't really explain it too well. How do you use it? Is it similar to the Front of The Line pass at Universal Studios?
