Is it worth climbing Mount Everest ?

Is the climb worthwhile. I am happy to give it a try if it is really worth all that effort. Will i be able to chuck snowballs ?

Def worth the while ! theres a McDonalds and a Burgerking at top ! its where Ronald and the King live ! So Go for it ! Be Careful though ! they not as friendly in real life !

I would say no!

I am always amused when watching this type of programme on TV, we see all the 'brave' mountaineers slogging away, w don't see the band of Sherpas that got them here in the first place.

Apart from that I just cant see anything 'heroic' in it more like sheer stupidity, same as these guys that go caving,  crawling through  little holes in the ground!! why???

I don't think so because these days so many people climb Everest and you have to wait, then also why not do something else that will get you fame and not risk your life.

You could climb it, but now they've built the cable car thingy round the back (not many people know about it yet) it would be much easier to ascend in this manner. As for the chucking snowballs thing you may cause an avalanche, this I believe to be somewhat dangerous for the Yeti. By the bye the greasy spoon half way up do an excellent Jam Roly-poly.

No. A fellow with a name of Krakauer (or somesuch) wrote a book, 'Into Thin Air' about his attempt... many of his friends died. He believed it wasn't worth it. If you're suicidal, sure, give it a shot, it's your life.
