Question:

Is it worth doing another year for an A-level?

I’ve just taken my AS’s in History, Politics, Photography and Art, but it’s only in the past couple of months that I’ve decided I’d like to do a History and English combined course at University. However, I need an English A-Level for this. I got a B at GCSE and would love to do an English Language but because the curriculum has just changed it means I’d have to start right from the beginning instead of making it up in one year.

Unfortunately this means I’d have to stay on for another year just doing that one course and only doing two/three now.

So is it really worth it?

I’d feel terrible to have to stay behind and I’m not sure it would look good to universities, or am I mistaken?

  1. Well I dont know much abotu all this but I would say that you shouldnt take ti at the time.

I mean it woudl amke you happy and why woudl want to be absolutly miserable b/c they took the wrong courses.

However if it conflicting with your schedule and what you want todo then I woudl say put it off untill there is a time when you can fit it in correctly and withotu a problem.

    Hope it works out fine!
