  1. Go bigger, much bigger. you can pick up 1 terrabyte drives fairly cheap now.

  2. h**l yes that has always being my dream.

  3. No it will not be enough. I work at Best Buy and dealing with these types of questions is an everyday thing for me. I would say at least 320 gb or more. Without more information I can't tell you exactly what size to get.

  4. If you are getting an external hard drive, then it would be worth it but nowadays, it would cost a lot less to buy one double the size. Don't get me wrong, it would still cost a bit of change but you would save money in the long run getting a bigger one.

To answer your question, YES, it is most definitely a smart move, in my opinion. I had an external hard drive just for my media (movies, music, pictures). It helps your computer run faster and more efficient since it doesn't have the clutter and weight of the media.

  5. i think you're talking about an mp3 player (the 80 gig iPod classic). i have that one, and it works awesomely for movies and music. however, since you need a computer for the music anyway, you might as well just buy a computer with a lot more hard drive storage. also, if you want music on the go, an iPod would be ideal. but if you solely want it for (as you suggested) your home theatre system, again, a computer may be better.
