Is it worth getting a PS3!!?

is it worth buying it know since i have a standard tv my dad wont buy an hd tv .. will bluray movies look good or the same as dvds and how about with games.. help i have 500 dollars should i buy it..

Yes, yes you should. Let's put it this way..

games will look a thousand times better than PS2 games on a standard TV.

Games will look ten thousand times better then PS2 games on an HDTV.

they still look good on standard TVs.  Plus, there is Metal Gear Solid 4

buy it right now ive played it it works great also for a computer you just need wi-fi and it goes on internet faster than your standard laptop will

I got a free one, and yes totally worth it. It'd even be worth paying for. I only use a normal TV too, I'm working on an HDTV for my next freebie.

If you're willing to spend the money then yes it's worth it. make sure you buy a large HDD to replace the current one, and you can put all your movies and music on it.
