In order to get promoted in my company they want me to get an AA in something. I would probably want to get it in Business Human Resources but I dont know if thats a very valuable degree.

  1. It's only valuable if you're going to do something with it.

Is Business HR what you want to do?  If so, yes an AA in it would be valuable.

  2. Degrees that have a greater earning potential are in business, engineering, medical, natural sciences, and nursing.  An A.A. is a step in the right direction, but by itself it isn't worth alot.  Entry level positions as a professional start with a B.A. or a B.S.   To be blunt, I have yet to see a job posting where an A.A. was even mentioned under the job requirements.

My suggestion would be to pick a subject area that relates most to the job.
