I recently went to the Blue Reef in Portsmouth with my family...but unless the L.A. is completely different, i wouldn't consider going.

  1. I've been to both, and the London Aquarium is far far better and bigger. Definatly worth taking the family to London.

  2. its rubbish!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  3. If you have been to the Blue Reef I would not bother with the London Aquarium - you will be disappointed!

  4. It depends where you live.

  5. I like the LA (only because I'm from London and haven't been to other aquariums!)

  6. It depends how much you like aquariums I guess. I really enjoyed it, but I hadn't been to an aquarium before.

The touch pool is good fun, and they feed the sharks every day at 2:30pm - as well as having numerous other talks and feeds throughout the day.

It's also right next to the Namco Game Station - a great arcade with a bowling alley - so you can always go there afterwards.

It's also near the London Eye, the Southbank Centre and the Dali Universe - so you could mix it into a full day of sightseeing if you wanted to.

  7. i went once with my gf, i did her in the loo, so it was WELL WROTH IT

if u not goin with a bf i would not really suggest it

  8. The reef in Portsmouth is what I would call a "proper" aquarium.  You will be quite disappointed by London Aquarium.  For a start, you'll scream "how much????" when you go in - it really is a rip off.  It's on 4 levels but they're all dark and gloomy and in old fashioned tanks with one large tank in the middle with sharks and easter island statues in it.  It's always really packed and roasting hot.  I have been twice and think I'll not go back again.  I always find that other cities have much nicer ones.  The Sealife centres at Brighton and Weymouth are fantastic as is the reef you mentioned at Portsmouth - really pretty.
