Is it worth hiring a cab in Jaipur for the whole day? Is there enough to see for eight hours?

Also I am getting a cab deal (Rs 900 for 8 hours)....Do u think its a good deal?

Hiring a cab or not is your choice as in some destination you may feel to spend 6 hours.

There is plenty to see and you won't be able to do it all in eight hours -- unless it is a whirlwind tour which will be very unsatisfying  -- India is the place where you need to pace yourself leisurely --  take time and explore one or two places of interest in a day as the heat and travel (even by taxi or car) can be exhausting. If you want to see them all, taxi is the best bet though he's charging a bit steep, try to settle for 650 to 700 but if you are a foreigner its going to be tough.

But I would suggest that you read up on all the places and take time to explore only the ones you liked reading about, don't worry you won't miss anything, besides just hire an auto to commute to your select places and the autowallah(driver) gives loads of good advices and cool tips to explore.

I personally recommend Nahargarh Fort, take lots of time, a guide and enjoy the cunningness, intelligence and kinkyness that the fort will tell you about its long gone inhabitants.
