Is it worth it for me to quit my job to go back to college full time at the age of 33? Would a employer look down on the fact that I quit a job to go back to college full time? Will I still have a enough time to climb the corporate ladder? I am thinking either majoring in Accounting or Finance?

  1. If you can afford to do so, by all means do so.  Employers will welcome a more mature experienced graduate who has some life and work experience under their belt.

  2. Firstly quitting epends on whether you can afford to, or can find a way to financially support yourself while you're at college......

By quitting your job, AND successfully completing a college course you are showing an aptitude and ability for self-reflection, and improvement in areas you have identified as lacking (could be your actual education, or perhaps your course in life) ..... either way you are showing a strength in yourself to take action and do something about it ..... from an employer's point of view this is a strong indicator of a motivated individual and management potential......

If you can - then do it!

    Good luck!

  3. It all depends.  There is not enough information to answer this question.  Assuming that accounting and finance are related to 'climbing the ladder' and you expect an opening, you should ask your HR representative for educational credits (they'll more likely promote you as well).  You should be able to find a college/university with a 2 year program for professionals so that you can work and study at the same time.
