Is it worth it having a dvd player in your car?

most cars come with them already installed, but it is the venue of choice since you cant buy cassettes any  more and its NOT SAFE and probably  illegal  to use an IPOD or such  and you have to have  music  when  traveling around.....sometimes the radio is fine...you get  to  hear  new  things.

If you have kids that need to be amused, a portable works for that.

If you have a GPS that's DVD-based, maybe.

What would you need it for otherwise?

Yes, it is perfect for long drives, and for little kids.
