  1. Once again, its your call. I do not know of many people that stay in a house much longer than about seven years and then move again. It is a minor selling point on the years left on the shingle warranty. The longer warrantied shingles are noticeably heavier to the experienced eye. I like the architectual shingles especially.


  2. It's your call.  The roof probably won't last quite as long as the warranty implies, but the longer warranty shingles will offer superior wind resistance.  They will last longer than the cheaper shingles, provided they are properly installed.  Hope this helps.

  4. Many factors come into play. The housing cost of your neighborhood, how long you plan to live there,What you can afford,will the extra cost just drive the price and payments? ( lf you finance the roof ), and become a burden in the current market? Just a few thoughts , Good luck
