I would buy it if you watch movies often on your PS3. But if you only watch movies once in a while then it really doesn't make a difference if you use the controller.

Yes, in my opinion. I use the remote for all tasks such as using the XMB, playing music, viewing photos as well as for DVDs and blu-ray discs etc. It gives you much easier one handed control like any other remote for a stereo/tv etc. I only use the sixaxis now for games when I need two hands.

The price of them has come down. Get decent batteries in it and they last for ages - the remote will power save and turn off if you haven't used it for a few minutes.

I think I would rather buy another game, I can understand the argument that it saves a hand when you want to fast forward but c'mon, what are you doing with the other hand anyway, unless it's for lonely people watching p**n! Hahaha!

In my opinion, no.

I always use the wireless sixaxis controller, and it works just fine.

The only real advantage to having the remote is a few more easily-accessible features, and a more normal looking remote.

I don't mind using the controller at all, and in fact, I kind of like it.

yes if you watch alot of movies because it is just so much easier than using a controller

no. i have always just used the ps controller. i find it easy to use and the only reason to get a remote would to make it more easy to get to buttons but the ps controller works just fine and i like it better anyways. that way you don't need a million remotes laying around
