Is it worth it to buy the blackberry pearl without a data plan?

I am planning on upgrading to the Verizon Blackberry Pearl, and not purchase a blackberry data plan. Is it worth it to buy it if you are not going to use internet? I think it is for the keyboard, trackball, thin and nice design, 3.5mm headphone jack, very nice OS, lots of software to put on, calendering, and it comes with everything you need to add music and videos including USB, and i love the media player.

plus its only $99 during verizons red hot deal days

your thoughts and opinion?

It is not possible to purchase a BlackBerry on the Verizon network without getting a data plan. They won't let you do it. You would have to switch carriers to AT&T or T-Mobile. Verizon and Sprint make you get a data plan.

And the data plan is definitely worth it if you want to get the most out of the device.

I am also Buying a Blackberry without the data plan. Im getting the Curve. But I have AT&T.

Many people tell you its not worth it. But some people (like me) just want the Regular phone with no internet. I think that it IS worth it! Im so excited to get mine!
