  1. I learned my lesson on off brand knock off bikes. A very expensive lesson. My sons bike that was 4 years old literally fell apart! Then when the starter went out, there is no back up, like a pull or kick start and it was WEEKS of waiting and lots of $$'s to get a replacement.

If you would like to buy an ATV, may I suggest that you stick with a name brand bike such as Yamaha, Suzuki, Honda, I have a Yamaha Kodiak 450 4x4 which I love, that I bought new, but you might consider buying one that has been well taken care of that is a couple years old if that's what you budget will allow.

A good entry level bike is the Suzuki Quadsports, Honda Recon, or the Honda TRX 300 (My preference for a starter bike) or the Yamaha Bear Tracker/ Bruin 250. From there it's a matter of your preference. Go ride them all and see which you prefer.

Stay away from the knock off's.

  2. only for the Yamaha the other one is off brand so yeah, I would get the Yamaha if anything??

  3. I own a Suzuki Eiger 400 4x4 2005 . It has 10123 miles on it and the only maintenance has been to replace the rear brake cable . Oil and filter change every 1000 miles . I'd recommend  this machine to any one it goes any where .

  4. Only for the first year or so, after that, THE MAINTENANCE is way too expensive

  5. they both look like Chinese knock off's

If they are here are some things to look out for.

( i bought one for my kid so she could kill a cheap one first)

1 - Rebolt - Pull all of the critical mounting bolts out and rebolt them using blue thread locker.

2 - Reseal - Disconnect all electrical connections and put dielectric grease in them, they are not water tight connectors.

3 - Battery - dont use the one shipped with it they are c**p

4 - Slime -  Slime the tires as they are thin and puncture easy

5 - Metric Tools - Carry a full set of metric tools, these things vibrate something fierce

6 - Oil - Run it soft for about 6 to 10 hours then run Royal Purple or some other 100% synthetic oil through it changing every 50 hours.

7 - Short Life - Don't expect it to last but a few years

8 - Warranty - Keep the shipping crate, you may have to send it back to China - Not a joke.

9 - They are both 2 wheel drive

10 - Engine replacement is about $450 plus 3 months waiting on the engine to come from China

    Now that your wondering.

Yes, if you keep up the maintenance, and know when you buy it that it will not last like a name brand then you are good to go.

As I said they are a good entry level ATV to learn with and it does not hurt that much when you kill it.

My daughters has about 800 hours on hers and is still in good shape. I change the oil and lube it every 50 hours.
