  1. not at all and especially now

  2. like any business, probably if you are a go getter - it can work for you and you can make some $... but you have to be in the right area and know how to sell, I'm not....

  3. If you want to make money in it you can. My friend sent both of her kids through college with Mary Kay. But it just like running your own business. You have to be a good sales person and be organized.

  4. It was for me.  only you can decide if it is right for you.  DO you love the product? Do you like people?  are you willing ot do the work?

The business plan is smart and sound and the company is reputable especially in these times when everyone else is cutting back out unit was up 20% so the decision is one only you can make just be sure to make it based on fact not emotions or opinion.

  5. For most people, no. http://www.pinktruth.com/index.php?optio...

MK users can get the product for half price (or less) on TouchOfPinkCosmetics.com or Ebay, and since there aren't that many real buyers anyway, most of the income in Mary Kay and any other pyramid is in recruiting people below you. In the pitch phase they emphasize the commission you'll make on sales, but once you're in it becomes about buying a boatload of inventory and then recruiting people; and if you only join to sell makeup it's stupid to bring in as many competitors as possible. In Mary Kay you aren't even allowed to advertise your "business."

It makes no business sense at all.

  6. If you are willing to work hard and stick with it, yes. When you get into a home biz you need to realize your not going to make alot of money right away. You can, but its not probable. 95% of all small and home businesses operate at a loss in the first 2 years. Most people quit within the first 6 months. If your willing to stick it out, bust your butt to establish yourself...then yes it would be worth it.

Let me add that internet sales are the key. Even with rising gas & shipping costs. More people will shop online so they don't have to go out and drive anywhere. It's convenient, less hassle, and very easy. So while the economy looks bleak, it can be very beneficial for you.
