Is it worth jail breaking my iPod touch now that the app store is out?

I have a fairly new iPod touch that I use a lot. I like the application store but apparently if I jailbreak I could get more applications and customize my iPod. Is this true? Is there a way to do this officially (via the app store).

Yes, it's still worth jailbreaking. The App Store doesn't have themes on it, but jailbreak does. When you jailbreak, your App Store apps will still work fine.

Don't listen to Matt, the App Store will still work if you jailbreak it.

Well it is up to your needs. 2.0 has now wiped nearly al of the jailbroken apps from working. The best thing you can do with it now is get cracked apps and use SSH to configure your Ipod to allow these to work. This does void your warrenty so its depens if your up for the risk. don't jailbreak it!

it voids the warranty and you can't get customer support if you need it

it could also brick your ipod then it will never work

And if you jailbreak it you won't have the app store

just stay with the official filmware
