depends how longs the flight is if its under 5 hours you don't need it but if its 6+ hours i would go for it if you have the cash money

Is it worth it TO YOU? If so, it doesn't matter whether it is to anyone else. If not, it also doesn't matter if it is to anyone else.

I would certainly suggest though that you not do it for the food and booze.

I can afford it but don't fly first class. I figure would rather spend the money saved at a really nice restaurant or whatnot. Rather than pay all all of that money for a bit more food and a few drinks on the plane.

If it is say an 8 hour flight I will bump up to premium economy. I travel a lot and have the upgrade thing worked out for the most part.

I also usually eat and have a couple of drinks at the airport beforehand anyway.

nope. its just a way of getting some place. you can spend that money in better ways. for example shopping or for food. or a better hotel.

Depends. For example, if you are flying New York-London with British Airways, I'd say no. Coach is acceptable, its short, and although everything will be much better in first, not really worth it. On the other hand, i recently took a 10 hour flight with American Airlines- A "not so great" airline. Coach is awful, so paying more to be treated like a human is worth it.

If you fly with Singapour Airlines YES !! This is the best company in the world! Its worth every penny!

Yes! And it's not 6 times more - all the flights I've taken, it's been like 2-3 times more.
