  1. No. You're paying for the style, which is fair enough if you've got the money and like the look of them, but they're just ordinary TVs under the sleek looks, with electronics made by Philips.

If you want a good TV, buy  Sony, Toshiba, or a Panasonic.

  2. Having worked as a Television engineer I would Strongly recommend you stay away and buy one of the main Japanese or Korean brands.

  3. They are fantastic!

  4. You pay £500 for the "B" and another £500 for the "O".

Look elsewhere - there is equal quality at MUCH less cost

  5. just had the back off mine and the tube is made by phillips - typical

  6. sure is

  7. You are paying the extra for style, not for improved picture and sound quality.

What is most important in a television set?

  8. The trouble is TV's are not made these days for longevity, the max life you get is about 5 or 6 years, no matter how much you paid for it, so a really expensive one is basically just for prestige, I would always buy Sony, everything I have bought from them ie MP3 players, CD players etc has always been excellent, they do what they say they will do without fuss and without having to have a bloody degree in engineering to understand how to use them, in my view you pay extra for names like B&O because they have a million features you will never use!

  9. I do satellite installs and I did an installation for a customer several years ago who had several Bang and Olufsen Televisions.

Sure they where nice sets and I liked the automatic swival feature, but a television is a television.  Save your money and go out and buy a nice Sony or Samsung Television!

  10. Buy a Sony.
